August 13, 2009 Workshop Update On May 22, 2009, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), published in the Federal Register a notice regarding a multi-agency informational meeting which was held on August 12, 2009 concerning compliance with the Federal Select Agent Program. The one-day meeting covered information on entity registration, security risk assessments, biosafety requirements and security measures.
